Project Information

The Project covers an area of 41,000 mu, with a planned long-term annual throughput of 100 million passengers. It has been positioned as a large international aviation hub as well as a new driving force for national development. It serves as a major aviation hub for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, facilitating the construction of the Xiong’an New Area and the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Construction Content

As the terminal with the most challenging construction technology in the world, the Beijing Daxing International Airport has a projected area of 180,000 square meters for its steel roof structure, which is equivalent to 25 standard football fields, requiring a far greater number of construction machines than usual. To complete the work on schedule and with high quality, PMS Tower Crane Safety Monitoring and Management System was adopted for the Project. Multi-frequency communication technology was adopted to achieve seamless networking of multiple crane fleets, reduce latency, thereby fully satisfying the demands of the Project for anti-collision operations of multiple tower cranes.

Application Benefits

Beijing Daxing International Airport was officially put into operation on September 25, 2019. The airport project, hailed as “the First of the New Seven Wonders of the World”, is a major infrastructure project and a national project with both “appearance and strength”. Given the tight schedule, heavy workload and technical difficulties, Beijing Urban Construction once again achieved a miracle with information technology, contributing to the “Chinese Speed”.
